ABOUT ME

Born in Ireland with a lifelong love for art, I started studying traditional 2D animation, life drawing, and color theory at the Irish School of Animation, plus some basic 3D work. After moving to Australia in 2012, I met my longtime friend and collaborator Jack Condon, who got me hooked on real-time 3D art when he invited me to join a group of friends messing around with Unreal Engine in his dad's garage every weekend.

That garage experience totally changed everything for me and sparked my passion for interactive media. I decided to get serious about it and studied Game Art & Animation at AIE in Sydney. After graduating, I landed at a local Creative Tech company where I spent six amazing years on a small team where everyone had to wear multiple hats and do a bit of everything.

I eventually grew into leadership roles as Technical Art Director and Principal Artist on some award-winning local & international projects, which taught me how to juggle hands-on creative work with art direction & managing people.

Going from traditional animation to cutting-edge interactive stuff has been quite a journey — it's given me a unique perspective on visual storytelling and the technical know-how to bring crazy ambitious ideas to life across all kinds of platforms and audiences.
