Overview

We built this short experimental VR experience that really pushed what you could do with VR storytelling. The big challenge was making a 3x3m space feel like a large, magical world through clever environment design and atmospheric effects. We developed a hand-painted art style and used dynamic fog and lighting tricks to create believable environments with intuitive interaction mechanics to deliver a game that explored themes of life, death, and self-discovery.

conclusion

This project became something I'm really proud of — getting recognized by Mashable as a top indie VR game and called "a storytelling masterpiece" was incredibly validating. Working within a 3x3m space while creating something that felt expansive really pushed my skills in VR design and atmospheric rendering. The organic success with 15,000+ engagements showed me I could create experiences that genuinely connect with people, which is exactly what I want to keep doing in game development.
